The American Business Day™ Board of Directors provides strategic guidance, oversight, and leadership for the annual national observance honoring America’s business leaders. The Board meets quarterly to support mission alignment, program integrity, partnerships, and long-term growth, ensuring the initiative remains ethical, inclusive, and impactful for businesses and communities nationwide.

Roles & Expectations Summary

Members of the American Business Day™ Board of Directors serve as strategic advisors and ambassadors for the initiative. Board members are expected to:

  • Provide mission-aligned guidance and oversight
  • Participate in quarterly board meetings
  • Support ethical governance and program integrity
  • Assist with visibility, partnerships, and outreach as appropriate
  • Act in the best interest of the organization and the businesses it honors

Board Term Length & Rotation

Board members serve two-year terms and may be reappointed based on continued interest and organizational needs. To support continuity and fresh perspectives, terms may be staggered, allowing for a rotating mix of experienced and new board members.
